Brian is a Valuations Principal at Davidson and Company. His area of practice is diverse and includes valuation for financial reporting, litigation and dispute support and notional valuations of private entities in connection with corporate tax planning, restructuring or shareholder transactions. 

In his prior role with a big 4 accounting firm, Brian developed a strong basis in valuation for financial reporting, including fair value issues related to purchase price allocations, fair value estimates of intangible assets, valuation of financial instruments and derivatives, and valuation for goodwill impairment testing and investments held by private equity firms. In connection with his work, Brian works with a variety of clients, from owner-managed business seeking to understand the value drivers of their business, to public companies completing transactions in excess of $20.0 billion USD in transaction value. Prior to his Valuations role, Brian articled as a CPA and progressed to senior manager in audit with mid-size accounting firms. 

Brian’s industry experience includes valuation of natural resources, including oil and gas reserves, sand and aggregate extraction, and mining properties in Canada and internationally.
