Job Description
Davidson & Company is searching for articling students with the desire to pursue their CPA in the ACT path, to join our Private Entity department with start dates in September 2023, January 2024, and September 2024.
Your responsibilities as an ACT articling student include:
- Develop skills and gain proficiency to complete compilations, reviews, bookkeeping and tax for privately held companies in a wide variety of industries.
- Develop and gain proficiency to prepare tax returns and compute taxes owing for corporate, personal and other tax returns.
- Develop and apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE), the Canadian Income Tax Act and related legislation
- Work directly and build relationships with clients
- Collaborate with an engagement team.
- Utilize various tools and software throughout engagements
- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s services, businesses and industry.
- Develop valuable skills and training to support your CPA program.
Candidate Profile
- Previous tax or accounting related office experience is considered an asset
- Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset
- Experience working with Caseware is considered an asset.
