Job Description
Davidson & Company is searching for full time Associates with the desire to pursue their CPA in the Audit, Tax, or ACT. (Assurance, Compilation and Taxation) We are currently considering candidates for May and September 2025.
Your responsibilities as an Associate will include:
Audit:
- Develop and apply technical skills in public company audit, IFRS, and Canadian Auditing Standards across various industries.
- Perform planning, execution, and completion procedures for audit engagements, including assessing the appropriateness of audit evidence and resolving audit issues.
Tax:
- Develop and apply technical skills in Canadian tax for various areas and industries, including preparing tax returns and computing taxes owing for individuals and entities.
- Research tax-related issues and collaborate with your engagement team to build client relationships.
Private Enterprise:
- Develop skills to complete compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and tax for privately held companies, and gain proficiency in preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
- Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and the Canadian Income Tax Act, working directly with clients and engagement teams.
Candidate Profile
- Completion of an undergraduate degree, including prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment.
- Intention to pursue the CPA designation in your chosen path (Audit, Tax, or ACT).
- Ability to work directly with clients and collaborate effectively with engagement teams.
- Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset
- Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset
- Experience working with Caseware is considered an asset

Salary
At Davidson & Company we like to maintain full transparency regarding compensation. The annual salary for this position is $55,000.
