Job Description
Davidson & Company is searching for Student (Co-op/Intern) to join our Audit, Tax, and Private Enterprise practice areas for four month to eight month periods with flexible start dates throughout 2025.
Your responsibilities as a Student includes:
Audit:
- Develop and apply technical skills in public company audits, including IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards, across a variety of industries.
- Obtain, assess, and review audit evidence, and collaborate with clients and engagement teams to resolve audit issues.
Private Enterprise:
- Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and tax for privately held companies in various industries.
- Prepare tax returns and compute taxes owing for corporate, personal, and other tax returns, applying knowledge of ASPE and related legislation.
Tax:
- Develop and apply knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and corporate tax compliance, preparing tax returns and computing taxes for various entities.
- Utilize various tools and software throughout tax engagements, collaborating with the engagement team to build strong relationships.
Candidate Profile
- Candidates working towards completion of the prerequisites for admission into the CPA PEP with the intention to pursue the CPA designation are preferred
- Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset
- Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset

Salary
At Davidson & Company we like to maintain full transparency regarding compensation. The annual salary for this position is $50,000.
